Malane Newman Design Launches New Website
September 2020 — Malane Newman Design launches new website. It’s been a long time coming and a great deal of work preparing all the different images for several portfolios. Because Malane Newman Design works in so many different areas, she has broken the website into different categories and portfolios so it is easier for her potential clients to quickly find samples for the type of illustration or graphic design the client is interested in. The samples are broken into 4 sections:

The Freelance Cartoonist Section — Features several freelance cartoonist portfolios: (1) Cartoon Illustration, (2) Children’s Book Illustration, (3) Character Design, (4) Licensed Characters, (5) Comic Book Style Art, and (6) Game Art.
The Freelance Illustrator Section — Features several freelance illustration portfolios: (1) Realistic Food & Beverage, (2) Character Likeness, (3) Concept Art, (4) Package Illustration, (5) Poster Art Illustrations, and (6) Miscellaneous Illustrations.
The Website Designer Section — Features several custom brochure and ecommerce WordPress Websites.
The Graphic Designer Section — Features several freelance graphic designer portfolios: (1) Ads, Banners & Postcards, (2) Books, Booklets & Brochures, (3) Business Cards, (4) Branding, (5) Logo Design, (6) Sales Sheets, Newsletters & Leaflets, (7) Package Design.
The Cartoon & Illustration Blog — We have continued our Cartoon, Illustration and Graphic Design Blog where we share cartoon, illustration, and graphic design industry information for artists, designers, and business owners.
An Online Cartoon and Stock Art Store — We have added a Cartoon and Illustration Online Store where we intend to sell stock cartoon characters and stock illustrations at a reduced price, similar to low-cost photography websites. It will take a little time to develop all of the products, so please be patient. Future announcements will be coming!
Malane Newman Completes Illustration on "The Perfect Christmas Tree" Children's Book
July 2020 — Malane Newman just completed illustrating “The Perfect Christmas Tree” children’s book written by Michael Pellico. The book will be published around December 1, 2020 and is available for pre-order on the Moonbow Publishing’s Online Store.
This children’s book is an adorable and unusual Christmas story about a grove of pine trees in a beautiful forest. Their father worries about them growing up, being cut down, and decorated as Christmas Trees for the human’s holiday. He offers his children advice on how to avoid this fateful future. One little pine tree is stubborn and ignores his father’s advice and grows up to become the perfect Christmas tree…
I want to encourage you to buy this wonderful children’s book. Children will fall in love with this story, the illustrations, the lead character and his personality, and the lessons to be learned! I created some very short motion graphic 2d animations using artwork from the children’s book. These video animations were created specifically for social media platforms to announce the book’s availability.

Malane Newman Design Wins Best of Hemet Award 2020 in Printing Publishing – 5 Consecutive Years and Induction into Business Hall of Fame
HEMET June 30, 2020 — Malane Newman Design has been selected for the 2020 Best of Hemet Award in the Printing & Publishing category by the Hemet Award Program for the 5th consecutive year. In addition to the award, Malane Newman Design has been inducted into the Business Hall of Fame.
